In this role, you will undertake and lead the delivery of specific projects managed by Keolis Downer Adelaide (KDA), that improve operational performance and safety of the rail network.

You will participate and represent the interests of KDA through consultation and effective communication in the planning, delivery and completion of major projects, identifying resource requirements as and when required. As part of this role, you will work in a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver effective safety, operational and engineering outcomes through project delivery.

You will:

  • Provide professional and effective project management services, including project governance and reporting in accordance with agreed processes and timelines
  • Work collaboratively with the Network Development team and internal and external stakeholders for the development of project scope, goals and milestones
  • Track project progress and provide regular reports to stakeholders
  • Monitor project risks including financial, reputational, quality, environmental and health and safety, and escalate issues effectively
  • Participate in personal and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communications
  • Identify and escalate resource and support requirements for projects in a timely manner to ensure projects are delivered to value for money principles
  • Participate in lessons learnt reviews at project completion
  • Provide support and direction in the oversight of incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participate in identifying innovation opportunities

 

About you

As an experienced Project Manager you will need to have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, transport, urban planning or equivalent
  • Experience in a rail environment is preferred
  • Experience with working with the public sector and/ or with government officials and processes is preferred
  • Experience or high levels of knowledge in managing high profile and complex projects
  • Knowledge and/ or experience in business case development and project nomination processes
  • Well-developed problem resolution skills with the ability to think laterally and use judgement to resolve issues
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement focused
